ALREADY APPROVED
Already Approved? Change Your Date, Place or Municipality
If you already hold a valid Certificate of Marital Status, you should not need a new application or a new government fee. What remains is finding an available ceremony inside the certificate's validity period — and, if your plans changed, moving it to another date, place or municipality.
Validity comes first
The Agency of Family Law states that a Certificate of Marital Status is valid for four months, and that you must marry within that period. We start by checking the expiry date on your certificate against realistic ceremony availability.
If the approval has expired or no longer matches your situation, a new application may be needed. We tell you that plainly before you spend anything.
Changing where you marry
According to the Agency of Family Law, couples who want to change the place where they marry after applying should let the Agency know. We check the current procedure for your specific case before acting, and coordinate with the new municipality once the change is confirmed.
What we help with
- Checking the validity and conditions stated on your certificate
- Finding municipalities with ceremony availability that fits your travel window
- Coordinating the change of municipality, date or place
- Practical ceremony details such as witnesses and arrival times
Availability is not guaranteed
Each municipality manages its own ceremony calendar and guest limits. We cannot hold or guarantee a date. Flexibility on weekday, time or municipality makes the largest difference.
