Legal
Terms and Conditions
These terms describe what our services include, what they cost, and the limits of what any service provider can promise in an authority-led legal process.
Our role
We provide case assessment, preparation and handling of a marriage application, and coordination with a Danish municipality for the ceremony. We are a service provider, not a public authority, and we do not make decisions about your case.
No guarantee of approval or of a ceremony date
Approval to marry in Denmark is decided by The Danish Agency of Family Law on the basis of the documents and circumstances of your case. Ceremony dates, times and capacity are decided by the municipality. Submitting an assessment or purchasing a service does not guarantee approval, a specific date, or a specific location.
Fees
Our service fees are stated on our services page and in the recommendation we send you. Unless we state otherwise in writing, official Danish government fees are separate and are paid to the authorities. Third-party costs such as translation, notarisation, apostille or legalisation, and any travel or accommodation, are also separate.
Your responsibilities
You are responsible for giving us accurate and complete information, for supplying the documents in the checklist we provide, and for meeting any deadline the authorities set. Inaccurate or late information can delay or prevent approval, and we cannot be responsible for consequences that follow from it.
Changes outside our control
Requirements, government fees, processing times and municipal availability may change during your case. Where that happens we will tell you promptly and explain the options.
Cancellation and refunds
Where work has not yet started, a service fee is refundable. Once assessment and case preparation are under way, fees are refundable only to the extent of work not yet performed. Official fees already paid to an authority are not refundable by us.
No legal advice
Information on this website and in our correspondence is practical guidance about an administrative process. It is not legal advice, and it is not advice on immigration, tax or family law in your own country.
Governing law
These terms are governed by Danish law. If any part of them is unenforceable, the rest continues to apply.
