What we collect

When you complete the free case assessment we collect the information you enter: both partners' names, nationalities and countries of residence, your contact details, your answers about entry and legal stay, marriage history, current status with the authorities, your ceremony plans, the assistance you are looking for, and anything you write in the free-text field.

We also record technical information about how you reached the site: the referring address, the page you landed on, campaign parameters in the link you followed, and the date of your first visit. This is stored with your enquiry so we know where it came from.

What we do not collect

We do not ask for passports, visa documents, residence permits, divorce papers or any other document through this website. Please do not send them by email either unless we have specifically given you secure instructions.

Why we use it

To assess your case, to reply to you, to recommend the appropriate service, and — if you become a client — to prepare and submit your application. If you give separate marketing consent, we may also send you occasional information about our services; that consent is stored separately and you can withdraw it at any time.

Who we share it with

Where you engage us to handle your case, the relevant information is submitted to The Danish Agency of Family Law and, for ceremony arrangements, to the municipality you are marrying in. We use standard technical service providers to host this website and our database and to send email. We do not sell your data and we do not share it for advertising.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not become cases are kept only as long as needed to answer them and to keep a record of consent. Client case records are kept for as long as required for administrative and legal purposes, and then deleted.

Cookies and analytics

We use only what is necessary to run the site until you accept more. Non-essential analytics are not loaded before you give consent, and you can change your choice at any time. See our cookie policy for detail.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of the data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, object to how we use it, or withdraw a consent you have given. Write to hello@scandinavianwedding.com and we will respond.

Changes

If this policy changes we will update this page. Please check it when you submit new information to us.
